My PhD research project, “Protein, Prestige and Profit: International NGOs and the Political Economy of Wildlife Conservation in East and Central Africa, 1960-2006,” examines the maneuvering of American and European conservation organizations in postcolonial Africa. I submitted the thesis in May 2026.
